Yeah, so that was just an example of how a wedding website can be worded. Instead, we would like to say: If you are reading this, you made the cut. We are glad that you clicked on this link to see how much your monthly operating budget will be thrown off to book this vacation. While we have been living in sin for quite some time, we can't wait to make it official and hope you can be there. Although we can't promise you memories in your hearts, you should definitely prepare for some heartburn with the all-inclusive food and drinks.
Now, back to the important stuff. Since we are using Destify as our wedding destination planners, there is not a block of rooms being held. The resort is very large, and we do not anticipate any issues, but please do not wait if you are planning on attending. Please reserve your room as soon as possible. There is a $150 deposit per person to book and guarantee a room. Full payment is not required until a few months before the date. While you do not have to book through this website using Destify, it is recommended and very easy to do. Please note that the room rates are displayed with taxes and fees. Other travel websites usually show the base price, so keep that in mind, as they may appear to be less expensive but are not. Destify offers the lowest market value rate.

About Us
The world was falling apart at the seams with an unknown pandemic keeping most people from traveling, visiting loved ones, and being closer than 6 feet from other humans. It was also an election year and probably the worst one of our lifetimes. Riots and division were the norm nationwide. While the world was crumbling and being swallowed with despair, a little glimmer of hope was emerging on the south coast of Lake Michigan.
With Ben arriving home after a fishing trip, and Beth being up late the night before saving her neighbor’s amputated fingers from an ATV accident, the two met for their first date on October 18th, 2020. Both coming in hot, with masks adorned, they began what would be a 9-hour date. Riddled with laugher and one-liners, Ben immediately showed his liking for Beth by stealing the tiny pizza spatula that she adored and gifting it to her at the end of the night. Besides his shoes, Beth was smitten about Ben, too. She got a little bit skeptical when he said his name was Ben and then pulled out a credit card that said his name was Joseph, but that was quickly explained. Apprehension, yet again set in, when Beth went to Ben’s house and there was a Luchador mask on his kitchen table. Thankfully, Beth learned that Ben bought and sold wrestling memorabilia, so the mask wasn't exactly his. Having dialed all but the last 1, Beth was able to put her phone down and her heart was able to beat normally again. Wanting to find someone that could match her energy and humor, Beth knew what she had wished for was strangely coming true. And after Ben had verbalized that he had hit his quota “of cycling through trash”, the two quickly became an item.
After 3 ½ years, the shoes have never been seen again, the mask has been sold, and they use the stolen spatula every time they have pizza.
Itinerary
Wedding Ceremony on the Beach
June 21st
5:00 PM - 5:45 PM
On the beach, directly behind the hotel. Our ushers, Adam & Jimmy, will be there to direct you!
Ceremony will begin at 5pm. Please come a few minutes prior to secure your seat and chit chat about the heat. Please note that this event will be in the sand, so be mindful when you are putting on those stilettos.
Cocktail Hour
June 21st
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM
The theater patio. Again, our handsome ushers will direct you where to go.
If you are dying to wear those stilettos, this is your only chance. The patio is concrete. **Please note that this does not start until 6pm, so if the ceremony is finished sooner the bar will not be open until 6pm. Feel free to go shake somewhere or if you really can't be without a cocktail, you can grab one from the pool bar.
Reception on the Beach
June 21st

Back on the beach!
Time to get shoeless Joe Jackson again or wear your flats. This event will be strictly sand. Yes, that's right. Tables on the sand, dancing on the sand, drinking on the sand, subsequent falling on the sand.... Unless it rains, then we will be located inside. On the bright side, you can don your stilettos again.
For the Week
June 16th

Poolside
Since our guests are arriving on different days starting on Tuesday up until Saturday, our welcome reception will be us at the pool ready to hand you a drink. Ben and I (okay, just Ben) made a spreadsheet with everyone's arrival days and times, so we will know when to expect you. Check in, put your bags in your room, and head on down to the pool area. We will have a designated space (not really but my Mom and her friends illegally claim half the chairs with some hokey streamers). Also, look for the mint colored cups. As a welcome gift, you will all be getting matching cups. We didn't want to be targeted by customs with 75 tumblers and appear on "how to catch a smuggler" so you will be getting them ahead of time. Please pack in your bag and bring with so that your endless cocktail can stay cold and so the other guests can know that you belong to us (one goes down, we all go down).
The Day After (Sunday Scaries, Mexico Edition)
June 22nd

We will make our rounds by the restaurants, bars and pool
Ben and I will be getting breakfast in bed delivered at 9am. We will then head down to meet everyone, for one last day. We can drink our water together, dry heave, discuss our sunburns, talk about how we hate our jobs that we have to go back to, and make scowls at the retirees.
